The P60 KV170 from T-MOTOR, a Chinese maker, is an enclosed outrunner of the P series for agricultural drones. It is protected against the ingress of dust and plant protection products and is intended for propellers of 22 to 28 inches on 6 to 14S. The type code gives a stator diameter of 62 mm and a height of 15 mm.
The motor weighs 375 g and measures 69 x 37 mm. At KV 170 and 48 V that works out to about 8,200 rpm at no load. Power and continuous current, 1,800 W and 38 A, apply for 180 s. The recommended propeller is the G28x9.2 carbon propeller. The description quotes up to 8,400 g of thrust; the highest value in the test-stand table is 6,992 g with a 20x6 propeller at 48 V. Both values depend on their own propeller and voltage and cannot be set against each other.
Spraying plant protection products from the air is subject in the EU to its own authorisation rules under plant protection law, alongside aviation law. Agricultural drones carry considerable loads with full tanks and can exceed the 25 kg take-off mass of the open category; an operational authorisation in the specific category is then needed. Remote ID is mandatory for C1 to C3. Motor, ESC and battery must share the same cell count.
The enclosure extends life but does not replace cleaning: spray products are aggressive, and residues attack bearings, seals and fixing screws. After every day of work the motor and the cable exit should be cleaned. Also check the bearing run, the winding insulation under sustained heat and the bell's concentricity.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
