The T-MOTOR T-HOBBY F55A PRO III 4in1 (30x30) is a 4-in-1 ESC from the Chinese maker T-MOTOR under the T-HOBBY brand for FPV quadcopters. The format is 30 × 30 mm with a hole pattern of 30.5 × 30.5 mm (M3); the board weighs 17.8 g and runs AM32 firmware.
The continuous current of 55 A applies per channel, and so does the peak current of 65 A for 10 s. The board as a whole has to carry the sum through its traces, battery connection and heat removal, which is why one does not count on four times 55 A in sustained operation. The voltage window runs from 3S to 8S, i.e. up to 33.6 V fully charged. AM32 is open firmware that can also supply motor speed for RPM filters; telemetry is available.
Frame and law: quadcopters with 55 A per channel normally weigh more than 250 g and so lie outside class C0. From that take-off mass, operator registration and a proof of competence are due. On 8S an ampere-hour of battery is about 30 Wh, and the IATA limits of 100 and 160 Wh lie at about 3.3 and 5.3 Ah.
For selection the standard hole pattern helps: it eases replacement with other boards in the 30 mm format when a channel fails. A 4-in-1 controller saves weight, but a failed channel affects the whole board. After crashes check the solder pads, the capacitors and the MOSFETs for burn marks or cracks.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
