The Gremsy T3V3 is a gyro-stabilised three-axis aluminium gimbal from the Vietnamese maker Gremsy for heavy-class multicopters. It carries cameras up to 1.7 kg.
The maximum payload of 1,700 g covers camera and lens together; they should stay well below it. The gimbal itself weighs 1,200 g. The pan range is ±345°, the tilt range ±150°. The operating voltage is 15 to 52 V, so the gimbal can run on systems with different numbers of battery cells. It is controlled through USB, CAN, UART and Bluetooth.
Gimbal and largest payload add up to as much as 2.9 kg; the aircraft therefore lies at least in EU class C2 (below 4 kg), unless it is heavier still (C3 and C4 up to 25 kg). Cameras that show people recognisably make operator registration necessary, and recordings fall under data-protection law.
Aluminium takes knocks but passes on vibration. Dampers between gimbal and aircraft and a well-balanced centre of gravity keep the motors in their working range; rebalance at every camera change. The wide pan range means cables travel with the movement, so kinks and connectors are the first points to check. Play in the axes and ageing of the dampers come on top.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
