Pegaso – other models: the collective page of trucks outside the named ranges, from the 1091 and 1223 to the 1336 and 2431, six-cylinder throughout, gross weights up to 34,000 kg
This page gathers Pegaso trucks the register could not assign to a named range: types such as the 1091LZ1, 1223T, 1236 T/Max, 1336 R Top and the heavy-haulage tractor unit 2431 C4. Pegaso was the truck and bus brand of the Spanish maker ENASA (Empresa Nacional de Autocamiones), founded in 1946 in Madrid, with plants including one in Barcelona. In 1990 the Italian Iveco group took over Pegaso; the brand was subsequently absorbed step by step into Iveco. ENASA also briefly built the Pegaso Z-102 sports car under the Pegaso brand in the 1950s, before the company concentrated entirely on trucks and buses.

The register lists here 8 versions, six-cylinder throughout, with unladen weights from 6,600 to 14,280 kg, gross weights from 13,200 to 34,000 kg, lengths from 5,610 to 10,100 mm and widths from 2,410 to 2,500 mm.
As a state-backed maker, Pegaso supplied the Spanish market for decades with trucks for long haul, construction and agriculture, and alongside Barreiros, and later Iveco-Barreiros, ranked among the names that shaped the domestic market, before international groups took over the Spanish truck market. Characteristic of the brand were robust cabs and engines often developed in-house, through which ENASA sought technical independence from foreign licensors.
Buying used, these historic chassis need checking for rust on the frame and axle mounts, the condition of the braking system and clutch, and the availability of engine and gearbox parts, which after the end of the independent brand are mostly found only through Spanish vintage parts dealers.
