Pegaso was the truck and bus brand of the Spanish maker ENASA (Empresa Nacional de Autocamiones), founded in 1946 in Madrid, with plants including one in Barcelona. In 1990 the Italian Iveco group took over Pegaso; the brand was subsequently absorbed step by step into Iveco. ENASA also briefly built the Pegaso Z-102 sports car under the Pegaso brand in the 1950s, before the company concentrated entirely on trucks and buses.

Characteristic of the brand were robust cabs and engines often developed in-house, through which ENASA sought technical independence from foreign licensors.
Buying used, these historic chassis need checking for rust on the frame and axle mounts, the condition of the braking system and clutch, and the availability of engine and gearbox parts, which after the end of the independent brand are mostly found only through Spanish vintage parts dealers.
