The register lists 20 versions with 57 to 150 kW from six- and eight-cylinder engines of 3,245 to 8,360 cc, unladen weights of 1,990 to 17,600 kg, gross vehicle weights of 3,500 to 16,250 kg, lengths of 5,380 to 14,000 mm and widths of 2,020 to 2,500 mm.

Fargo mainly served markets outside North America where Chrysler did not maintain a separate truck brand, including Scandinavia, where the vehicles still appear in registration records today; the dual marketing as Dodge and Fargo explains the close technical kinship of the models.

When buying used, check for rust on the ladder frame and leaf-spring packs, the condition of the clutch and manual gearbox on the older six- and eight-cylinder engines, and parts supply, which for Fargo vehicles today mostly runs through the Dodge parts market since the brand itself is no longer active.
