Eicher 3000 – mid-range line from Forstern near Munich: 3014 Wotan II A to 3453, two- to six-cylinder diesels rated 26–70 kW, 1,935–4,140 kg
The Eicher 3000 brings together mid-range series from the Bavarian maker Eicher of Forstern near Munich, whose four-digit type numbers begin with the digit 3. Eicher had built tractors since the 1930s and gave some series their own names, such as Wotan, as seen on the 3014 Wotan II A; the AS and S suffixes on the 3048 mark different equipment grades of the same base version. From the 3014 as the smallest to the 3453 as the largest model, the line spans two- to six-cylinder engines.

The register lists 6 versions rated at 26 to 69.6 kW (35 to 65 hp) from two- to six-cylinder engines of 1,963 to 5,890 cm³, torque of 365 Nm, kerb weights of 1,935 to 4,140 kg, and a length of 3,220 to 4,080 mm, a width of 1,540 to 2,090 mm and a height of 1,725 to 2,480 mm, at speeds of 2,000 to 2,150 rpm.
The Eicher 3000 tractors were standard workhorses for medium-sized farms in Bavaria and southern Germany, competing on power and price with Fendt, Deutz and the large international makes; after Massey Ferguson took over the tractor division, independent production under the Eicher name in Germany ended.
On these older tractors, check engine and radiator condition, the clutch and mechanical gearbox, the hydraulics with lift, and corrosion on the wings, bonnet and frame; spares are available through specialist Eicher parts dealers and vintage farm-machinery markets, and a test drive checking steering and brakes is advisable before buying.
