The SpeedyBee F405 WING (China) is an F405 flight controller for fixed-wing aircraft with 12 outputs, an SPL-06 barometer and a wireless configuration module. It is meant for aeroplanes flying with ArduPilot; a smaller sister version, the WING Mini, measures 37 × 26 × 14 mm and weighs 19 g.
The processor is an STM32F405RGT6 at 168 MHz; in this class ArduPilot runs with a reduced range of functions because of the limited flash. The gyro is an ICM-42688P. Interfaces are 5 UART plus UART6 for the radio module, 12 PWM outputs with DShot and an AT7456E OSD. The input voltage is 2S to 6S LiPo. The board measures 52 × 32 × 19 mm and weighs 35 g. The radio module allows the flight controller to be configured without a cable and occupies one UART for that.
The EU class of the finished drone follows from take-off mass. When flying FPV with goggles the open category requires an observer, and flights beyond visual line of sight belong in the specific category. ArduPilot includes return-to-launch and geofence.
When selecting, check whether the functions you need are included in the ArduPilot build for the F405; anyone running many extra devices chooses an H7 controller. The dimensions of 52 × 32 × 19 mm call for installation space in the fuselage. Wear shows at servo plugs, solder pads and the damping; before updates the parameter file is saved, after modifications attitude and compass are calibrated.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
