The SpeedyBee F405 V4 (China) is an FPV flight controller in 30x30 format with an ICM42688P gyro, barometer and configuration via a Bluetooth app. The manufacturer lists the F405 V4 stack it belongs to as discontinued. It supports Betaflight and INAV.
The processor is an STM32F405, in the F4 class, which according to the part description is enough for many FPV uses. The ICM42688P supplies rotation rates with low noise, and a barometer adds altitude. Interfaces are 6 UART, of which UART4 is taken by Bluetooth and UART5 by ESC telemetry, plus an AT7456E OSD. The input voltage is 3S to 6S LiPo. The board measures 41.6 × 39.4 × 7.8 mm with a hole pattern of 30.5 × 30.5 mm and weighs 10.5 g.
In the EU the class follows from the finished drone: C0 below 250 g, C1 below 900 g with Direct Remote ID. Anyone flying with goggles needs an observer in the open category.
When selecting, mind the situation: the product is listed as discontinued, and a successor is the F405 V5, which has an isolated power supply for the gyro. With stock boards the configuration is saved before Betaflight is updated. The occupied UARTs leave fewer free ports for GPS or further devices. Wear shows at the USB socket and solder pads; propeller damage raises gyro noise, and after modifications the attitude is calibrated.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
