The SkyRC PC2500-12/14S is a four-channel mains charger for 12S and 14S batteries from the PC series of SkyRC, a manufacturer from Shenzhen; the series is meant for agricultural and industrial drones with 6S to 24S. The unit is intended for heavy multicopters and charges up to four batteries at the same time.

The power depends on the mains: 2,500 W applies on 220 V mains, and on 120 V mains it is 1,200 W. Four channels charge four batteries independently of one another, with the total power shared between them. A single channel reaches 45 A in fast charging, and in slow charging 20 A per channel. The unit charges 12S and 14S, for LiHV 12S, and supports lithium batteries and smart batteries with CAN communication. The input is AC 100 to 240 V. The unit weighs 5,600 g and measures 294 × 139 × 282 mm.

The figures show the principle of multi-channel units: the maximum power applies to the whole unit, not to each channel. Anyone charging four packs at once uses correspondingly less current per channel; the 45 A is available only with one pack. Lithium batteries are charged only according to the manufacturer's instructions, under supervision and on a non-flammable surface, ideally in a charging bag. Smart batteries need a charger that understands their protocol, and LiHV packs the matching, higher end-of-charge voltage.

When choosing, fleet size decides: anyone changing four batteries per mission saves time. Per kilowatt hour of pack energy the unit needs 24 minutes by calculation at 2,500 W, and 50 on 120 V mains at 1,200 W. At just under 5.6 kg it is a base or vehicle unit. Keep the ventilation openings clear and check fan and dust regularly.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
