The SkyRC PC1080neo-6S is a two-channel mains charger for 6S lithium packs, intended for medium multicopters. SkyRC is a manufacturer from Shenzhen that builds RC chargers and offers, with its PC series, chargers for agricultural and industrial drones with 6S to 24S.

The total power is 1,080 W, split into 2 × 540 W, and the charge current is 20 A. The cell count is fixed at 6S, and LiPo and LiHV are supported. A 6S pack is fully charged at 25.2 V as LiPo or 26.1 V as LiHV. The input is AC 100 to 240 V; there is no DC input. The unit weighs 2,430 g and measures 255 × 124.6 × 120 mm; it is a workshop and vehicle unit, not a pocket charger.

On 230 V mains the unit draws about 4.7 A at full power, so an ordinary socket is enough. The usual rules apply when charging: charge lithium batteries only according to the manufacturer's instructions, under supervision and on a non-flammable surface, ideally in a charging bag; do not charge damaged or swollen packs. The choice between LiPo and LiHV is made deliberately, because a LiPo pack in LiHV mode is overcharged to 4.35 instead of 4.2 V per cell.

When choosing, the fixed cell count is decisive: packs with 4S or 12S do not fit, and for higher cell counts the PC series offers other models. 100 Wh of pack energy charges at 540 W per channel in 11 minutes by calculation, plus balancing. The charge current must not exceed the value permitted in the battery data sheet. Wear concerns the fan and dust in the housing: keep the ventilation openings clear and check the unit regularly.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
