The Grepow UHV Semi-Solid 22Ah 6S 4.45V (part number TARBUHV22K06S10X) is a semi-solid lithium battery from Shenzhen Grepow Battery with ultra-high-voltage cells for mid-size multicopters. Six cells in series give a nominal 23.7 V at 22 Ah; the pack measures 59.7 × 73.5 × 218 mm.

UHV means the cells are charged to 4.45 V instead of 4.2 V; the full-charge voltage of the pack is therefore 26.7 V and the nominal voltage 23.7 V. 23.7 V and 22 Ah give 521.4 Wh; at 2,018 g that is 258.4 Wh/kg at pack level. The continuous current is 66 A (3C), and a peak of 220 A (10C) is allowed for at most 15 s. The weight carries a tolerance of ±200 g, around 10 per cent, which belongs in the mass budget.

521.4 Wh is far above 160 Wh. Under the IATA passenger leaflet (February 2019 edition) the pack travels only as dangerous-goods cargo, not as a spare in hand baggage; every shipment requires UN 38.3 testing, and airline rules may be stricter. The pack weight of about 2 kg counts towards the take-off mass on which the EU classes are drawn.

The charger must support the 4.45 V cells; with a standard profile to 4.2 V some capacity stays unused, and a profile set too high on ordinary cells risks overcharge. The connector is selectable (XT60, XT90, AS150U, QS8 and others) and must match the wiring of the aircraft; at 66 A continuous an XT60 is too small. Wear shows as lost cycles, growing voltage sag and deformed cells; the six cell voltages are checked at the seven-pin balance lead.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
