The Grepow 500Wh/kg Semi-Solid 44Ah 6S (part number TARBG5044K06S05X) is a semi-solid lithium battery from Shenzhen Grepow Battery for UAVs in which endurance matters more than power. Six cells in series give a nominal 22.2 V at 44 Ah; the pack measures 185 × 71.5 × 71 mm.
22.2 V and 44 Ah give 976.8 Wh; at 2,040 g that is 478.8 Wh/kg at pack level, whereas the series name quotes 500 Wh/kg; the calculated pack value is the one to compare. The continuous current is 44 A (1C), about 1 kW. A peak of 90 A is given, which the connector limits; according to a manufacturer footnote the cells withstand 220 A for 15 s. The pack is tuned for energy: it feeds low-power drives for a long time, but not high-current flying.
976.8 Wh is far above 160 Wh. Under the IATA passenger leaflet (February 2019 edition) the pack travels only as dangerous-goods cargo, not as a spare in hand baggage; UN 38.3 testing is the precondition, and airline rules may be stricter. At about 2 kg the pack makes up roughly half of the 4 kg take-off mass that EU class C2 allows.
In selection the continuous current of 44 A must cover the total motor current in hover with reserve; at 22.2 V that is about 1 kW. The XT90S-F limits the peak to 90 A even though the cells can do more. Wear shows as lost cycles, growing voltage sag and deformed cells; the six cell voltages are checked at the seven-pin balance lead. The compact pack must be protected against pressure and shock and stored in the middle of the charge range as the maker specifies.
