Schlüter Super-Baureihe

The type designation reads clearly: the number follows output, the letters describe technology and equipment – V for four-wheel drive, T for turbocharging, L for the version with air suspension or a comfort cab, LS for the late development stage with a powershift gearbox, Special for special equipment. In the register the range spans 25.6 to 206 kW, 2,945 to 11,413 cm³ of displacement with three to eight cylinders and 2,145 to 9,600 kg unladen; top speed reaches 44.2 km/h.

Production periods are recorded in the register partly to the month and end in 1993 – the year Schlüter stopped tractor production after a contract to build for another maker could no longer sustain the brand.

Used Supers are sought-after machines, often still working in heavy haulage or with contractors. When buying, engine and gearbox count – parts are available through specialists but are not cheap – as does complete documentation, because many vehicles are one-offs with differing equipment.
