The Iveco Daily is one of the few vehicles in its class to keep a separate ladder-frame chassis under the body rather than being unibody like most panel vans; this frame construction is precisely what makes it the preferred base for all-wheel-drive conversions such as Scam's, since a transfer case and extra driveshafts fit more easily than in a unibody structure.
