Mitsubishi PAJERO

The register lists 200 versions with power outputs from 64 to 147 kW, displacements from 2,340 to 3,497 cm³ and four to six cylinders. Unladen weights range from 1,468 to 2,470 kg, permissible gross weights from 2,115 to 3,500 kg, widths from 1,660 to 2,110 mm; length figures are only recorded for a smaller share of the models.

For decades the Pajero was the flagship of Japanese off-roaders alongside the Toyota Land Cruiser and Nissan Patrol, and has not been offered in Europe since fourth-generation production ended in 2021.

On used examples, important points are rust on the ladder frame and axle suspension, the condition of the transfer case and the Super Select 4WD couplings, the turbocharger and injection-pump history on diesel versions, seals on the sunroof and tailgate, and, on older model years, the availability of body panels, which is increasingly scarce.
