Mercedes Benz Arocs

126 models in this series

The Arocs series from Mercedes Benz comprises 126 models. Rated output ranges from 290 to 460 kW.

Mercedes-Benz Arocs – Mercedes-Benz Trucks' construction range from Wörth am Rhein since 2013: L, K and LK as chassis variants, engine outputs of 265 to 460 kW, displacements of 10.7 to 15.6 litres

The Arocs is Mercedes-Benz Trucks' construction and heavy-haulage range, introduced in 2013 as a standalone line alongside the Actros and Antos and built at the Wörth am Rhein plant; it took over the previous construction variants of the Actros for tippers, mixers and crane chassis. In the type designation the first digits denote weight class and engine power, the letters the chassis variant: L the standard version, K the tipper, LK a combination of both, B a construction all-wheel-drive variant.

The register lists 126 versions with engine outputs of 265 to 460 kW, displacements of 10,677 to 15,569 cm³ and six to eight cylinders.

The Arocs covers Mercedes-Benz Trucks' construction segment and competes chiefly with the MAN TGS, the Scania XT and the Volvo FMX; its domain is tippers, concrete mixers, crane and hook-lift vehicles with reinforced frames and a low-range gearbox for construction-site use off made-up roads. Unlike its long-haul sister the Actros, the Arocs is designed for short wheelbases, high ground clearance and a wide range of axle configurations from 6x2 to 10x8, as also seen in the model line-up from 8x4 tippers to 10x8 special chassis.

On a used example, what counts is the condition of the frame and tipper hydraulics, wear on differential locks and the low-range gearbox, corrosion on axles and body mounting points, the condition of the engine and exhaust after-treatment, and parts supply through Mercedes-Benz's dense workshop network.
