Maxus is the commercial-vehicle brand of the Chinese group SAIC Motor, created in 2010 from the takeover of the British maker LDV (Leyland DAF Vans) in Birmingham, and has since marketed light vans and electric commercial vehicles internationally. The eDeliver 9 is Maxus's large electric commercial vehicle, offered both as a closed panel van and as a chassis for bodywork, so that depending on the version it spans from the light-van class into the heavier truck class.
