The register lists here 9 versions with 26 to 45 kW (45 to 60 hp) from three- to six-cylinder MAN diesel engines of around 1,912 to 1,915 cm³. Lift capacity ranges from 2,880 to 4,320 kg, unladen weight is 1,920 kg and gross vehicle weight 2,500 kg, at a length of 3,340 mm and a width of 1,670 to 1,720 mm.
In West German post-war farming, MAN Ackerdiesel tractors targeted medium-sized operations and competed with brands such as Fendt, Deutz and Eicher. The early use of four-wheel drive on several types was, for the period, a technical distinguishing feature against many competitors.
Buying one of the now-rare MAN Ackerdiesel tractors calls for checking the engine and injection pump, the tightness of the gearbox and four-wheel-drive system, and corrosion on sheet-metal parts after more than sixty years. As production has long ended, parts are now only available through collectors, vintage-tractor clubs and specialist dealers.
