The KL series formed Kramer's core programme for roughly two decades, sitting between the light KB models and the larger series, and was steadily expanded with more powerful models over that time.

The register lists 20 live models, from the KL 150 Schmalspur to the KL 550, built between the early 1950s and around 1970. Output ranges from 8 to 30.7 kW, or 14 to 52 hp, weight from 870 to 2,600 kg, displacement from 763 to 3,402 cm3, across one- to four-cylinder engines.

With narrow-track variants such as the KL 150 and KL 200, the series also covered specialty-crop farms, while the stronger KL 550 models already approached the power class of full-size field tractors.

As one of Kramer's most widely built series overall, the KL range shaped the company's image in the years before its definitive switch to construction machinery in 1973.

With output up to 30.7 kW, the KL series sat mostly within three-point category 0, already reaching category I under ISO 730 at its upper end; the PTO usually ran single-speed at 540 rpm. The same applies to the KL series: since Kramer fully stopped tractor building in 1973, original parts are scarce today and mainly sourced through specialist vintage-machinery dealers. The wide variety of models within the series further complicates clear parts identification.
