Genie Scissor Lift

Genie of Redmond, Washington, is with JLG the world's largest maker of aerial work platforms – founded in 1966 with a compressed-air hoist to which the company owes its name, part of Terex since 2002 and, with the GS-1930 scissor lift, maker of the most-hired platform in the world. The type logic follows the American convention: GS stands for Genie Scissor, the first digits give the platform height in feet, the last the platform width in inches – a GS-1930 is 19 ft (5.8 m) high and 30 in (760 mm) wide, a GS-3246 32 ft and 46 in, a GS-5390 RT 53 ft (16 m) and 90 in – the models without suffix are the electric indoor lifts, RT the diesel rough-terrain lifts with all-wheel drive and oscillating axle, DC the electric rough-terrain lifts with battery drive. The rough-terrain lifts run on Kubota diesels and the Ford DSG-423 petrol engine, the indoor lifts on 24-volt battery and electro-hydraulics.
