Fiat Trattori Diamant series – Italian classics of the 1960s: twin- to four-cylinder diesels at 1,135 to 4,397 cc, 16.2 to 49.3 kW, types 215, 415, 615 and 715 (DT)
The Diamant series brought together at Fiat Trattori in Turin during the 1960s a model line from small tractor to mid-range, graded through the types 215, 415, 615 and 715. The number denotes the ascending power class, and the DT suffix the four-wheel-drive version (Doppia Trazione); the base types without DT were rear-wheel drive only. Fiat built at this time both in Turin and at its agricultural machinery site in Modena, covering with the Diamant series a wide field from small vineyard tractors to mid-power field tractors.

With its wide spread of power and dimensions, the Diamant series covered both smallholdings and special crops as well as larger arable farms, competing directly with the contemporaneous models from Same, Lamborghini and Landini, likewise from northern Italy.
On a used purchase of an older Diamant type, check corrosion on sheet metal and steering knuckles, the condition of the clutch and mechanical gearbox, and on DT four-wheel-drive versions the front-axle drive; parts for the Italian four-cylinders, less so for the twin-cylinders, are usually still obtainable through specialist dealers.
