AgroPrima, like Agrofarm, is a simple entry range from Deutz-Fahr within the Italian SDF group (Same Deutz-Fahr), designed for price-conscious farms and export markets. The naming logic follows the usual SDF pattern: the first digit gives the engine's cylinder count – 4 for the four-cylinder AgroPrima 4.31, 4.51 and 4.56, 6 for the six-cylinder AgroPrima 6.06 and 6.16 – the second digit orders the range by version and power. The four-cylinders deliver less power than the six-cylinders, as shown by the displacement span from just over 4 to just over 6 litres; fitted are water-cooled Deutz-Fahr diesels with mechanical or part-synchronised gearboxes typical of the simple entry class.
