Forterra, a name combining "for" and "terra" (terrain), first left the Brno plant in late 1998, built on the Unified Row III platform whose first prototypes date back to 1974. In 2012 the Forterra HSX arrived with an electro-hydraulic power shuttle, followed in 2014 by the Forterra HD rated up to 110 kW.

Zetor, as a Czech tractor maker, remains an independent, active company today, which eases spares supply for the Forterra line through the regular dealer network, unlike many of the long-discontinued brands otherwise gathered on pages like this one.
