Scania P94 – the truck with the low P cab on the 9-litre chassis of the Scania 4 series, since 1995 a distribution and construction vehicle, 161 to 209.5 kW, six-cylinders of 8.7 to 9.0 litres
The Scania P94 belongs to the Scania 4 series introduced in 1995, whose type code combines cab and engine family: P denotes the low, off-road-capable cab, G and R the taller cabs, T the now-discontinued cab-over-engine cab, and the number 94 the chassis with the 9-litre six-cylinder engine. The P94 was thus the compact, manoeuvrable version for distribution traffic, construction sites and municipal work within the 4 series, continuing Scania's modular system of shared components across several cab and engine variants. Scania, headquartered in Södertälje, has been fully part of the Volkswagen Group since 2014.

The register lists here 13 versions with 161 to 209.5 kW from six-cylinders of 8,725 to 9,000 cm³, unladen weights from 6,418 to 17,150 kg, gross weights from 18,200 to 28,500 kg, lengths from 6,230 to 11,650 mm and widths from 2,490 to 2,550 mm.
Scania ranks among Europe's leading heavy-truck makers and is particularly known for its modular system and the long service life of its vehicles; as a tipper, flatbed or crane-equipped truck, the P94 was a common choice for construction and municipal fleets.
On used examples, operating hours and the condition of the engine and turbocharger count, along with the clutch and manual gearbox, on tippers and crane trucks the condition of the hydraulics, and frame corrosion from construction-site work and road salt; Scania trucks are regarded as long-lived, and parts run through the dense dealer network.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.

- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
