The MAN TGE is a van that MAN has developed and built jointly with Volkswagen since 2017; technically it is largely identical to the third-generation VW Crafter, produced in Września, Poland. The TGE type designation follows MAN commercial vehicles such as the TGL, TGM and TGX; model names such as 3.140 or 3.180 state the weight class (3.0-tonne axle load) and engine output in horsepower. MAN traces its roots to Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg and has been majority-owned by the Volkswagen Group since 2011, which enabled the TGE cooperation.
