Leyland built tractors at Bathgate in Scotland as successors to the Nuffield tractors, after British Leyland was formed in 1968 from a merger of British car makers; this collective page gathers the models outside the named ranges. On many three-digit types the last two digits give the approximate power in hp, as on the 255 with around 55 hp or the 384 with around 84 hp; the Synchro suffix denotes a synchromesh gearbox, as seen on the 262 Synchro/2030. For export markets some models carried predator names such as Panther, Super Panther, Tiger and Super Jaguar.

The register lists here 35 versions with 18.6 to 75 kW (28.5 to 100 hp) from three- to six-cylinder engines of 1,488 to 5,657 cm³, unladen weights of 1,032 to 4,042 kg, lengths of 2,780 to 3,810 mm and widths of 1,537 to 2,360 mm; powered mostly by Leyland's own engines as well as SAVA, BMC and Perkins units.
Leyland tractors in the 1970s stood for British mass production of mid-size field tractors and competed with Ford, Massey Ferguson and David Brown for the same market; after the end of the British Leyland era, production at Bathgate passed to the Marshall brand, which continued the range.
Buying used, what matters on these tractors above all is the condition of the gearbox and clutch, the tightness of the hydraulics, and rust on the wings and bonnet; since spares for the British Leyland engines are limited, it is worth checking the cylinder head and injection pump, whereas far more parts are available for the Perkins units.

- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
