The R6 is Lamborghini's mid- and upper range of the 2000s and 2010s – and technically the sister of the Deutz-Fahr Agrotron, because since 1995 Deutz-Fahr has belonged to the SDF group of Treviglio, which has owned Lamborghini since 1973: same engines, same transmissions, different bonnet and colour. The type logic: R6 stands for the series, the number after the dot gives the output in hp – R6.100 about 100 hp, R6.140 about 140 hp, R6.185 about 185 hp – VRT.190 marks the version with continuously variable transmission (Vario technology), which SDF markets as TTV. The engines are Deutz four- and six-cylinders of 4.04 and 6.06 litres, water-cooled with common rail – a break with the air-cooled tradition SAME and Lamborghini stood for over decades.
