The digits after the code in practice indicate the capacity class, with the last two digits usually marking capacity in hundreds of kilograms and the leading digit the series generation — visible on models such as DFG 316, DFG 425 and DFG 670, and their TFG counterparts from TFG 660 to TFG S80.

Models recorded here span own weights of 3,000 to 13,600 kg, capacities of 1,600 to 9,000 kg, and lift heights of 3,000 to 6,570 mm, with engines of 1,999 to 5,737 cm³ displacement — the bucket covers light through heavy diesel/LPG trucks.

On the mast and lift chain, a used-buy check should also cover the mast rollers' condition and chain elongation: a stretched lift chain comes off its sprockets more easily and, once it exceeds the manufacturer's limit, should be replaced outright rather than simply re-tensioned.

For a used truck, beyond mast condition, check the Kubota engine's condition (oil consumption, cooling system) and, on LPG models, the tightness of the tank-exchange system and vaporiser. Cross-checking operating hours against the maintenance book is worthwhile given how long-lived Jungheinrich chassis tend to be.
