In 1969 Daimler-Benz acquired a majority stake in the company, and by the mid-1970s truck production had been fully absorbed into the Mercedes-Benz range, ending the Henschel marque. The HS100, HS140 and H261 types listed in this register stand for the marque's medium and heavy ranges from this late period.
