The iFlight XING2 2809 800KV is an FPV motor with 12 slots and 14 poles (12N14P) for cinelifters and long-range flights with heavier FPV builds. iFlight is a Chinese maker of FPV drives. The case measures 35.33 mm in diameter and 36.7 mm in height, and the mass is 61.4 g. The series is also made in 1,250 and 1,600 KV.
The 2809 stator is 28 mm in diameter and 9 mm in height. At 800 KV the motor turns roughly 17,800 rpm unloaded on 6S (22.2 V nominal), a low speed for large propellers. The maker states 24 V input voltage, which corresponds to 6S. The data sheet lists 610.3 W and 25.63 A as maximum values; together they give about 24 V and about 9.9 W per gram of motor mass. That ratio is lower than in racing motors, because this motor is tuned for efficiency under long load, not for throttle punches.
Because cinelifters carry a heavy camera, total weight counts for more here than on a freestyle quad: operator registration is due from 250 g or with a camera, and the open category has subcategories that depend on weight and EU class. In A3, heavier drones fly at 150 m distance from residential, commercial, industrial and recreational areas. Motor, speed controller (ESC) and battery must carry 6S, and the power figure holds only with the time span the maker chooses (3 to 180 s across the different brands).
Under sustained load with a heavy payload the winding warms first, and the insulation ages faster as a result. Anyone buying second-hand checks the bearing noise while turning the bell slowly, the shaft wobble and the condition of the cables where they leave the motor. At 61.4 g and with propellers for heavier builds, the motor stands at the border between an FPV drive and a multicopter drive.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
