The Herewin FPV 100C 6S1P 22.2V 5000mAh is a LiPo battery of the F-Volt series from Herewin (Shenzhen Jiaying Shidai Technology) for small FPV drones with a high power demand. Six cells in series give a nominal 22.2 V at 5 Ah; the connector is selectable, with XT60 named as an option.

22.2 V and 5 Ah give 111 Wh. The stated weight of 760 g would mean about 146 Wh/kg; for a 6S pack of 5 Ah that is a high weight, so the pack should be weighed before mass planning. The 100C figure appears in the title without saying whether it is continuous or peak; by calculation it would be 500 A, which no connector of this size carries as continuous current. On FPV packs the C figure usually describes short load peaks, and as a comparison between packs it is of no use without a time basis.

111 Wh lies between 100 and 160 Wh. Under the IATA passenger leaflet (February 2019 edition) such a spare battery is allowed only with the airline's approval, at most two of them and only in hand baggage, protected against short circuit. UN 38.3 testing is the precondition. The pack alone weighs 760 g, clearly more than the 250 g of EU class C0.

In selection the cell count (6S) and the connector on the pack as delivered matter; it must match the wiring of the aircraft. High-current LiPo ages first in voltage sag, because internal resistance rises with cycles; swelling and cell drift at the seven-pin balance lead follow. After crashes, dents and kinks in the cell wrap rule a pack out. Storage voltage is about 3.8 V per cell, here 22.8 V.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
