The Herewin 3C 12S1P 44.4V 25000mAh Anode-Free UAV Battery is an anode-free lithium-metal battery from Herewin (Shenzhen Jiaying Shidai Technology) for heavy multicopters. Twelve cells in series give a nominal 44.4 V at 25 Ah. Anode-free means the cell is built without a prefabricated anode of graphite or lithium foil; the lithium plates out directly on the current collector during charging.
44.4 V and 25 Ah give 1,110 Wh; at 2,550 g that is about 435 Wh/kg at pack level. The title quotes 490 Wh/kg; that figure is above the pack value, and the calculated one is the one to compare. Discharge is given as 3C, which is 75 A continuous or about 3.3 kW. The pack is therefore meant for aircraft that need a lot of energy at a moderate power demand.
1,110 Wh is far above 160 Wh. Under the IATA passenger leaflet (February 2019 edition) only carriage as dangerous-goods cargo comes into question, not a spare battery in hand baggage; UN 38.3 testing is the precondition. For a lithium-metal pack the classification in the maker's transport document is also decisive. At 2.55 kg the pack weighs heavily in the take-off mass on which the EU classes are drawn.
With a young cell chemistry the maker's specifications for charge current, charge cut-off and cycle count are limits, not guide values. The continuous current of 75 A must cover the hover current of the aircraft with reserve. Wear shows as capacity loss, growing voltage sag and deformed cells; the twelve cell voltages are checked at the 13-pin balance lead. Storage is in the middle of the charge range as the maker specifies, with protection against pressure and shock.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
