The DJI O4 Air Unit Pro is the larger transmitter unit of the O4 generation for small FPV drones, with a larger camera module that records up to 4K at 120 fps. It works with the DJI Goggles 3, the N3, the Goggles 2 and the Integra. It sits in numerous production FPV drones from BetaFPV, GEPRC and iFlight, from cinewhoops to freestyle platforms.
The live view stays at 1080p and 100 fps; the high recording resolution serves the film, not the pilot. Latency is about 15 ms with the Goggles 3 in race mode at 1080p and 100 fps, about 19 ms with the N3 and under 30 ms with the Goggles 2 or the Integra. The range of 15 km applies under FCC; under CE and SRRC it is 8 km, in each case with Goggles 3 or N3. Bitrate is up to 130 Mbit/s. The transmit power of 1,995 mW is the converted FCC ceiling of under 33 dBm EIRP for 5.8 GHz, not a measurement. With the camera the unit weighs about 32 g, without it 15.6 g, and each antenna about 2.1 g.
In the EU the CE limit for 5.8 GHz is under 14 dBm, about 25 mW, and for 5.1 GHz under 23 dBm, about 200 mW. The 1,995 mW cannot be used in the EU, and the 8 km under CE is the figure to plan with. Equipment may be operated in the EU only in the frequency ranges and power levels approved there. For drones with a camera the operator registration duty applies in addition.
When choosing, the difference from the O4 Air Unit counts: the Pro version delivers more bitrate and a better recording camera but weighs about 24 g more. The air unit gets clearly warm when stationary and should not sit on the ground for long without airflow. Antennas break in crashes and must be replaced; the firmware of goggles and transmitter unit has to match.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
