The DALPROP Fold 2 F7 is a folding three-blade polycarbonate propeller for small-class FPV drones, intended for long-range and freestyle builds. The designation 7051 stands for 7 in diameter and 5.1 in pitch.

With a 5.1 in pitch on a 7 in diameter the propeller sits in the middle to upper range: faster than a flat long-range design, but with a higher current draw. Three blades raise thrust at a given diameter and lower efficiency compared with two blades. The weight is 7.1 g, the bore 5 mm for a 5 mm shaft, the hub height 7 mm. The blades fold back at rest, which reduces the packed size; in operation centrifugal force opens them. For this the blade seat in the hub must stay clean and free of play.

The aircraft determines the legal framework. A 7 in build lies below or above 250 g depending on battery and camera; from that mark operator registration is mandatory, and for classes C1 to C3 direct remote ID is added. The propeller itself has no class. Anyone flying with video goggles needs an observer in the open category; the maximum altitude is 120 m.

When buying, the folding mechanism is the wear point: check that each blade opens evenly, with no play in the pivot and no cracks at the blade root. A sticking or worn hinge causes imbalance and vibration that show in the video and the sensors. After a crash the whole set is inspected, not only the visibly damaged blade.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
