The PRS-M350EX is the variant of the AVSS (Aerial Vehicle Safety Solutions, Canada) parachute system for the DJI Matrice 350 RTK; the product name cites EASA C5 and MoC 2511 as its frame of reference. It is aimed at medium multicopters, deploys autonomously and ejects the canopy with a spring mechanism. An external flight termination system (EFTS) is added, and the termination runs through the DJI Payload SDK (PSDK).
Minimum height and sink rate are tied to the mass of the aircraft: 50.8 m and 3.54 m/s apply at 9.2 kg take-off weight, and 44.6 m and 3.24 m/s at 7.7 kg. Below those heights the canopy no longer opens reliably, according to the manufacturer. The total weight of the system is 1,120 g; it comes out of the payload and counts towards take-off weight.
C5 is one of the EU drone classes C0 to C6 and, with a take-off mass of up to 25 kg, the class for the standard scenario STS-01. As evidence the manufacturer lists ASTM F3322-18 and EASA MoC Light-UAS.2511 and 2512. For flights over people or in certain scenarios of the Specific category, that evidence is needed for the combination of aircraft and system; a ready-made kit for the M350 RTK is easier to substantiate than a self-made adaptation.
Two parts work together in this kit, the canopy and the external flight termination system, and both belong in the maintenance plan. Before flight, the PSDK connection and the release function are checked. After a deployment, inspect canopy and lines for tears and moisture, exchange the canister and repack the parachute as the manufacturer specifies. The higher weight calls for a recalculated loading.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
