The SKYctrl L from Advanced Protection Systems (APS, Poland) is a container-based counter-drone system. Radar, electro-optics and jammer sit in an autonomous container, the radar extends by itself, and a single person can operate the system. The manufacturer names the military and critical infrastructure as fields of use; the system carries the NATO stock number (NSN) 5865-430031819.
The specifications show the division of roles: FIELDctrl radars detect, the electro-optics identify, and the jammer acts on the drone's radio link. Up to four units can be networked by fibre; the link is therefore independent of the radio spectrum in which the jammer works. The stated form is a vehicle container that is brought to the site and put into operation there.
The manufacturer's approval note: in the EU the jammer may be operated only by authorised authorities and armed forces, and it is not sold to private parties. Operating jammers is reserved to authorities and armed forces: in Germany under § 91 TKG, in Poland under Art. 42 of the Electronic Communications Law (Dz.U. 2024 item 1221). Active countermeasures are reserved to state bodies (Poland: Art. 156ze of the Aviation Law, Dz.U. 2025 item 179; Germany: federal and state police, armed forces under § 15a LuftSiG as administrative assistance).
In a container system the mechanics of the self-extending radar with seals and drive, power supply and climate control of the container, the operating temperature range of the sensors and the fibre runs between the units count. In a network the firmware versions of the units have to be matched.
