The Aerobits trkME is a UAS tracker that bundles several jobs: Remote ID over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, network tracking over LTE, ADS-B reception and, optionally, FLARM and ADS-B transmission. It comes as trkME, trkME+ and trkME PRO; the housing measures 65 x 46 x 12 mm and weighs 50 g. It is aimed at mid-size multicopters, and the ADS-B reception makes crewed traffic nearby visible.
The radio equipment is the broadest among the Aerobits modules: Bluetooth 4/5 and Wi-Fi (beacon, NAN) for direct remote identification, LTE Cat. 1 for Network Remote ID, FLARM on the trkME+, and an ADS-B transmitter on the PRO. Output power is +18 dBm for Bluetooth, +20 dBm for Wi-Fi, +14 dBm for FLARM and +33 dBm for ADS-B (PRO), which is about 2 W. The module has its own GNSS receiver and runs on 5 V; current draw is 320, 400 and 450 mA for the three variants.
The manufacturer names ASTM and ASD-STAN as the basis of its Direct Remote ID and describes the device as designed to meet them; for the EU an EU declaration of conformity to ASD-STAN EN 4709-002 is still needed. The duty to run direct remote identification applies to classes C1, C2, C3, C5 and C6 and, in the specific category, since 01.01.2024. FLARM operation requires a FLARM UAS licence obtained through Aerobits. ADS-B and FLARM are aviation radio; whether transmitting them from a drone is permitted is decided by the aviation authority of the country of use.
When choosing, decide which variant is really needed: anyone who only needs Remote ID pays in weight and current for functions that go unused. The LTE link needs a SIM card and network coverage. Before buying, ask for the EU declaration of conformity of the chosen variant.

What to check before buying
- Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
- Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
- Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
