The Agrotron TTV series covers 6 models. Rated output within it ranges from 125 to 203 hp; the TTV 630 sits at the top of that range with 203 hp. Its immediate neighbours are the Agrotron TTV 620 below it with 169 hp. Unladen weight within it ranges from 6,525 to 7,225 kg; here the TTV 630 sits at the top of that range with 7,225 kg. 692 Deutz-Fahr models across 50 series are on record.

Deutz-Fahr Agrotron TTV 610 to TTV 1160 – the stepless six-cylinders from Lauingen: TTV for the stepless transmission, the number as series and power step, Deutz six-cylinders of 6.06 and 7.15 litres, 92 to 149 kW

The Agrotron TTV is Deutz-Fahr's tractor with stepless transmission – presented in 2001 as the answer to Fendt's Vario, with a transmission from ZF that the brand from Lauingen on the Danube designated TTV (Total Torque Variable). The type logic shows two generations: the three-digit TTV 610, 620 and 630 of the 2000s give the series in the first digit and the power step in the last (610 about 165 hp, 630 about 200 hp); the four-digit TTV 1130, 1145 and 1160 of the early 2000s are the first TTV generation with 1 as range identifier and the last digits as power (1160 about 160 hp). The engines are Deutz six-cylinders from Cologne – the 1013 series of 7.15 litres in the 1100s, the TCD 2012 series of 6.06 litres in the 600s, at 2,100 to 2,300 rpm, with approval for biodiesel as the register notes – and the TTV transmission with four mechanical ranges and hydrostatic power split.

The register lists 6 versions with 92 to 149 kW from six-cylinders of 6,057 to 7,146 cm³, torque from 530 to 851 Nm, a lift capacity up to 9,200 kg, unladen weights from 6,525 to 7,225 kg, lengths from 4,730 to 4,807 mm, widths from 2,480 to 2,720 mm and heights from 2,975 to 3,157 mm.

The Agrotron TTV was, after the Fendt Vario, Europe's second stepless standard tractor and made Deutz-Fahr a competitor of Fendt, John Deere and Claas in the class over 150 hp; the 6, 7 and 9 TTV ranges have continued it since 2013.

On used tractors, operating hours, Deutz engine and injection, TTV transmission (oil history, calibration, noises), front-axle and cab suspension, hydraulics and electronics count; parts run through SDF and Deutz.

What to check before buying

  • Check the hour meter against the service records — a replaced instrument is the most common gap.
  • Compare the data plate and chassis number with the papers.
  • Check the weights in the papers against the figures here — attachments change them.
  • Check front and rear tyre sizes: mismatched pairs strain the drivetrain.
  • Shift the gearbox cold and warm — jumps only show up at temperature.
  • Load the hydraulics and watch for sag.
  • Ask about parts availability for this build year — the running costs hang on it.
