The register lists here five versions from MP10-515M to MP10-605C with 515 to 605 hp rated output at a constant 1,800 rpm. Mixture formation runs through electronic direct injection with diesel as fuel, certified for model years 2014 to 2016. Maximum torque ranges from 1,919 to 2,111 Nm at 1,000 rpm.

In this later certification, the MP10 remains the engine for the heaviest tractor units and long-haul trucks in Volvo's North American programme, with a focus on sustained high output over long distances and heavy trailer loads; competitors in this power segment are Cummins, Detroit Diesel and Paccar.

On a used purchase of this high-output long-haul engine, mileage and the service history of the injection system matter, along with the condition of the turbocharger and charge-air cooling, the tightness of crankshaft seals and oil pan, and, on high-mileage vehicles, the condition of the clutch and drivetrain; spares and service run through the Volvo Trucks dealer network.
