70X0A is Volkswagen's internal factory type code for the T4 Transporter (Baumuster 70), built from 1990 to 2003 in Hanover and, from the late 1990s, also in Poznań, Poland. The collective page shows, alongside standard transporters, motorhome conversions too – visible in the Dutch term Kampeerwagen and in the converter Carthago, which built compact motorhomes on the T4 chassis. The T4 was Volkswagen's first Transporter with a front engine and front-wheel drive, replacing the rear-driven T3.
