Versalift makes aerial work platforms mounted on chassis supplied by other vehicle manufacturers; the VTL-140 is exactly such a work platform built onto a panel-van chassis. Clearly recognisable is the body type itself - an aerial platform for work at height, with a boom, work basket and matching hydraulics at the rear of the vehicle.

The four-cylinder diesel engine displaces 1,950 cm³. At 7,310 mm long, on a 3,670 mm wheelbase and 2,020 mm wide, this is a long chassis of the kind aerial platforms need for adequate counterweight against the extended basket. Kerb weight of 3,179 kg leaves only 321 kg against the 3,500 kg gross weight for crew and tools, and the design top speed is 158 km/h.
As a class N1 vehicle, the VTL-140 can be driven on a category B licence as long as the gross weight stays under 3.5 t. Operating the platform itself is additionally subject to aerial work platform regulations, including regular inspections of the hydraulics and boom structure by a competent person.
When buying a used aerial platform on a chassis, the platform's own inspection record matters at least as much as the vehicle's condition: hydraulic hoses, boom bearings and the emergency lowering system should be assessed by a specialist workshop before purchase. The outriggers and their locking mechanisms also deserve a wear check, since they carry the platform's entire stability when set up.
