Techtop TCI – other electric motors: the collective page of Chinese three-phase motors outside the named models, frame sizes 132 to 280, 5.5 to 37 kW, mostly 400/690 V

This page gathers the Techtop electric motors the Australian energy-efficiency register (GEMS/MEPS) could not assign to a named range. Techtop is a Chinese maker of three-phase motors; the TCI type codes describe the range carried in the register, while one model is additionally listed explicitly under both Techtop's own IE2 132-M4 designation and the parallel MS2 designation.

The register lists here 9 versions with 5.5 to 37 kW, four- to eight-pole, at voltages mostly of 400/690 V (8 motors). Full-load efficiencies range from 85.5 to 92.5%, and at 75% load from 87 to 92.6%. Frame sizes run from 132 to 280, protection mostly covers the combination of IP55, IP56 and IP66. Manufacturing is exclusively in China, testing mostly followed the 2019 GEMS determination with test method 2-1-1B; mounting for eight of the nine motors falls within the combined B3/B5/V1 spectrum.

With the TCI programme, Techtop covers the mid to large power segment for pumps, fans and compressors, competing with other Chinese standard-motor makers for the same export market to Australia.

When buying used, bearing condition and a checked insulation resistance of the winding, the condition of the terminal box and fan cover, a legible nameplate with frame size, pole count and voltage marking matter, and on the 400/690 V versions the correct star or delta connection for the available mains voltage. Spares run through the Chinese specialist trade.
