The register lists here 5 versions with 74.3 to 100.1 kW or 101 to 136 hp from four- to six-cylinders of 4,485 to 6,728 cc, unladen weights from 4,940 to 5,350 kg, lengths from 4,265 to 4,532 mm, widths from 1,873 to 1,913 mm and heights from 2,876 to 2,920 mm, torque from 435 to 612 Nm at a rated speed of 2,200 rpm.

The Profi range covers the mid to upper class of all-round tractors in the Steyr programme, for mixed farms with fodder growing, arable farming and haulage work in Austria, southern Germany and the alpine countries. The parallel four- and six-cylinder layout allows a choice between a more compact build and higher torque.

On the Profi range, what counts is operating hours, the condition of clutch and gearbox, the tightness of the hydraulics, the condition of the four-wheel-drive clutch, and on RME operation the fuel lines and injection system; parts run through the CNH and Steyr network, though parts for the six-cylinder can be harder to source than for the four-cylinder.
