Santana Motor of Linares in Andalusia built licensed Land Rover models for the Spanish market from 1958, visible in the model names Land Rover Santana Serie 3 and Landrover 88; after licensed production ended, Santana developed its own off-roader and pick-up, the PS-10, which the company also marketed as the Iveco Massif from 2007 in cooperation with Iveco, before vehicle production ended in 2011.

The licensed Land Rovers shaped Spanish agriculture and the Guardia Civil for decades, while the PS-10 and Iveco Massif targeted forestry, municipal and expedition users but remained niche models alongside the big off-road brands.

On a used example, as with the British original, rust on the chassis and floor pan and the condition of the leaf springs matter on the licensed Land Rovers, while on the PS-10 and Iveco Massif the history of the Iveco-Sofim diesel engine and the availability of parts, which runs through the smaller dealer network, count.

With gross weights up to 3.3 tonnes, the PS-10 and Iveco Massif also fall into the EU vehicle class N1 and can be driven on a category B licence; their permanent or selectable four-wheel drive works through a transfer case with a low-range gear, as did the licensed Land Rover models in this range.
