SAME (SLH) TITAN-Baureihe

The register lists 6 live models, from the SUPER-TITAN to the TITAN 190, built between 1991 and 2001. Output ranges from 106.6 to 139 kW, weight from 5,750 to 6,510 kg, with a constant displacement of 6,001 cm3 and six-cylinder engines throughout.

The narrow spread of weight and displacement against clearly varying output shows that the Titan series was built on a shared six-cylinder base engine tuned to different stages, a practice typical across the SLH group.

After the 1995 acquisition of Deutz-Fahr, the group evolved into SAME Deutz-Fahr (SDF); the Titan series thus marks one of the last purely SAME flagship ranges before the rebrand.

When buying a used Titan, operating hours and the condition of the turbocharged six-cylinder, the tightness and function of the powershift stages, and the condition of axles and tyres given the high weight all matter; rust on cab and mudguards after years of arable use is common too. Since SLH now operates as SAME Deutz-Fahr, parts for the Titan run through this active group's dealer network. PTO and lift correspond in this power class to ISO 730 Category III, at 540 or 1,000 rpm.
