SAME GOLDEN-Baureihe
4 models in this series
SAME Golden series: compact Compatto tractors from the SDF group in Treviglio, four types from Golden 60 to 85 Compatto, 44.1 to 62.5 kW (60 to 85 hp), four-wheel-drive DT variants, 2,200 to 2,510 kg kerb weight
The Golden series denotes, at SAME of Treviglio under the SDF group, a range of compact field tractors carrying the Compatto suffix. The models Golden 60, 65 (DT), 75 and 85 Compatto rank the types by power class in hp; the DT abbreviation stands, in Italian tractor nomenclature, for Doppia Trazione, meaning four-wheel drive. The Compatto suffix underlined the shortened wheelbase and tight turning circle that set these models apart from SAME's standard-length tractors.

The register lists 4 versions with 44.1 to 62.5 kW, or 60 to 85 hp, from three- to four-cylinder engines of 3,000 to 4,000cc, torque from 180 to 279 Nm at 2,350 rpm, kerb weights from 2,200 to 2,510 kg, lengths from 3,431 to 3,671 mm and a consistent width of 1,290 mm and height of 2,110 mm.
The Golden series' compact build targeted farms with limited space, such as orchards and vineyards and hilly terrain, where a low centre of gravity and narrow dimensions were needed alongside sufficient engine power. The compact build also eased manoeuvring in tight farmyards and machine sheds.
When buying used, check clutch and gearbox condition, engine and hydraulic oil-tightness, the function of the four-wheel drive on DT versions, and corrosion on the cab and chassis; spare parts supply runs through the SDF dealer network for the SAME brand.
