Vehicle spec sheets quote an output band of roughly 330 to 390 kW across the MX family as a whole; the sources reviewed do not give exact production dates or power ratings for the individual variants on record (MX 280 T, 300 T, 320 T, 321 T, 340 T, 360 T).

In North America the MX-13 has been available for the Kenworth T680 and Peterbilt from 2016; in Europe the MX family powers the DAF CF, XF and XG ranges.

Unlike many North American competitors with replaceable wet cylinder liners, the MX family uses a one-piece engine block with cylinder bores machined directly into it, without separate liners; this increases block rigidity but means a more involved repair in case of damage than the simple liner swap possible on wet-liner engines. To meet the strict North American NOx limits, the family combines turbocharging with charge-air cooling and an aftertreatment system of EGR, particulate filter and SCR catalyst with AdBlue dosing.

Because the MX-13 is built to different emission stages across North America and Europe, checking that the exhaust aftertreatment (EGR, SCR, diesel particulate filter) matches the rated stage — and its service history — is the key point for a used unit; no further type-specific weak points are documented in the sources reviewed.
