The third R range from Lamborghini Trattori of Pieve di Cento continued the R model family with the R-365, R-475 and R-485 types, each in DT form with the brand's typical standard four-wheel drive, Doppia Trazione. The range combined three- and four-cylinder diesels in a mid power segment and was aimed at farms needing sure pulling power even on tougher ground, from hillside grassland to heavier arable soils.

The register lists here 3 versions with 45.6 to 61 kW output at a uniform 2,000 rpm, from three- to four-cylinder diesels of 3,739 to 4,986 cm³. Unladen weights range from 2,537 to 3,025 kg, lengths from 3,620 to 3,790 mm, widths from 1,680 to 1,750 mm and heights from 1,530 to 1,600 mm; all three models run on diesel.
With standard four-wheel drive, the third R range sat in the mid power segment against similarly equipped models from group sister SAME as well as Fiat, Deutz-Fahr and Renault; the four-wheel drive made the tractors particularly suited to slopes and heavier soils.
On a used purchase of these four-wheel-drive tractors, the condition of the front axle with its transfer gearbox and drive shafts counts, the clutch and gearbox, the tightness of injection pump and cooling system, and rust on mudguards, bonnet and cab; parts run through the SAME Deutz-Fahr network.
