The combination of several chassis manufacturers under one body builder's name shows how strongly the market for light commercial vehicle conversions reacts to available chassis: mobile workshops, refrigerated boxes or special bodies arise wherever Iveco, Stellantis or Mercedes chassis are economically available. At lengths of up to just under 7.9 m, the Lamar bodies are among the larger versions in this class.

When buying used, key points are the condition of the body mounting on the respective chassis, corrosion at the connection points, and – depending on the base vehicle – the usual weak points of Iveco Daily, Boxer or Sprinter chassis in engine, gearbox and brakes. Spare parts for the drivetrain are supplied by the respective brand network; for the body itself, usually only Lamar remains a source.
